Not ready to jump out of plane….yet? Well what about a very relaxing and safe gliding experience?

Join me and other event seekers as we strap a kite to our back, tie a rope on a plane, hitch a ride up to about 2,500 feet, cut the rope and fly tandem with a trained professional around. (Okay, maybe not just like that but you get the idea).

This is very safe, very relaxing, ANY age from my 15 year old nephew to my 98 year old grandma (Seriously she's 98!). If you’re the adventurous type, your instructor will do some carved turns. If you just want to relax then you’ll be accommodated too with a nice easy up and down. On a clear day you can even see the NYC skyline.

If you want prove to everyone that you actually did it, they take some of the best angle shots to put on a CD (Yea.. extra cost of $30, but so worth it).

Transportation:
Car Pooling – Pickup will be in Midtown @ 7:45am sharp. Budget $15 for tolls and gas for the driver per person.
Mass Transit – Short line bus $42 Round trip from Port Authority to Middle town Call: [masked] to book early. Take either the 10am or 11am bus. Pickup from bus stop to airport will be provided. Return times are 5:15 or 6:50pm depending on when we end.

What to expect how it will work:

Those driving and not car pooling, I will see you there at 9:30am, there’s no waiting around. Flights start right away. People with cars that can car pool (THANKS!), I’ll email the group prior with the exact meetup point in Midtown Manhattan. I will do my best to see if I can match people up with people that live close by to you so that you may not need to meet in Manhattan. Those that are taking the bus, a van will pick you up at 11:30am or 1pm depending on which bus you choose.

Flights start at 9:30am. 5 people per hour get to fly, which means you may be waiting around a bit. So what is there to do? There are 4 bikes, super large chess board, golf with plastic balls, picnic tables, swings and I’ll bring a Frisbee, cards and some board games. You can always just lay out in the sun and get a tan too.

You will be securely hooked up to the hang glider, the glider is then attached to plane which brings you up to 2,500 feet and releases you. From there the instructor can either do some carved turns or just come down very easily. The total time will be 15-20 min, carved turns may take some time off this as you’ll do some roller-coaster dives (SWEET). You will also be able to take control and feel how to navigate the glider.

If you are driving, I may be able to work out if you need to come late or leave early. Those carpooling.. You’re stuck with me all day! However, it should be a fun day nerveless.

NOTE: Since this event has limited spots. Availability will be given to the first 20 people who pay. Depending on the carpooling situation we may need to rent a van. If we do costs may go up. However you’ll be alerted to this early and full refund if you can’t mange. (Cross your fingers, we haven’t needed this yet)
