Yup, it’s that time of year. Take off your roller blades and strap on your ice skates… or ice skate rentals. Come join me and other event seekers as we learn how to ice skate and then slip and slide all around the rink as a group. ((Don’t laugh when I fall down please, but you can laugh at Cecilia the co-organizer ))
After a 15 minute private skating lesson for our group, we get to skate around the rink or just relax at our designated Random Events table. City Ice Pavilion is one of newest ice skating rinks in NYC. Right over the 59th street Bridge, 5 minutes from Manhattan, it’s easy for everyone to get to.
Why come to Queens and skate?: FREE lessons, FREE extended time, CRAZY discount for our group, and best of all to see the other really cool event seekers!

More Details to have fun:
1. If your taking the 7 Local Train from Manhattan , go to the last car. This is so when you exit you don't have to walk an extra two blocks.
2. Once you get out of the train station look at the sidewalk. I am going to draw arrows with chalk to guide you through the two blocks :) -> -> ->
3. Once you get there, pay at the door and say "Random Events" to get the discount.
4. Then check in with me at the Random Events table to get a name tag. This will help you know who is with the group and learn people's names. (As many of you know, I typically host smaller personal group events so everyone is always engaged. However, since we have a large group, please do your best to say "Hi" to someone standing by themselves)
5. Since we will have a large group, training will be broken down in groups of 20-30 people for 15 min.
6. Then we skate.. hopefully not fall and have a good time!
REMEMBER!!!!
- It gets COLD! So wear clothes/scarf/gloves that will keep you warm. There are lockers, so you can always remove it if you get hot.
- They have a little food stand, so feel free to bring water or something to munch on.
