Why does that waiter always put a little in the glass first? Why do people swirl the wine before tasting it? What’s the difference in glasses? What should I look for in a good wine? What am I suppose to taste? So many questions.. all to be answered by Patrick from 24, a great little wine bar in Astoria. (10 out of 10 by NYMag.com)
Come join me as Patrick exposes us to some really good cheap Spanish wine. Why pay $40+ for a bottle of wine, when you can buy a great tasting wine (that will make us just as tipsy) for much less?
Patrick will provide a 40 min introduction of understanding the key elements to wine. Then we will have the opportunity taste three types of Spanish wines as we cleanse our pallets on different cheeses and crackers.
Then we get to chill out and mingle as we enjoy a glass of wine included in the price. For those that enjoy the wine, bottles will be on sale for the special price of $20 for event seekers.
Those that are hungry, Tapas are available at the wine bar, but are not included in the price.
